Lindsay Lohan has her sights set on portraying Hollywood icon Ann-Margret in a potential biopic, and she’s making it clear that the project will honor the legendary performer’s vision.
The 38-year-old actress, known for her roles in Mean Girls and Our Little Secret, shared updates on the project during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live. When host Andy Cohen asked about the status of the film, Lohan confirmed, “We’re working on the story. It’s exciting, yeah!”
A Vision in Progress
Ann-Margret, now 83, has reportedly given her blessing for Lohan to take on the role, though Lohan emphasized the importance of crafting a film that stays true to the performer’s legacy. “It has to be the way she wants it to be, so I really want it to be special in that way,” Lohan said.
Cohen noted Ann-Margret’s celebrated dancing skills, to which Lohan replied, “I know, it’s gonna be pretty intense.”

In March, she told Bustle, “I really want to play Ann-Margret, and we’re trying to find a writer for that story… She’s a triple threat, and she’s an amazing woman on top of that.
